San Francisco Sign CompanyJerry Brown, the governor of California spoke at the grand-opening of the first Zero Net Energy training center -- a facility that will serve as a training center for thousands of apprentice and journey-level electricians throughout Alameda County as well as the entire Bay Area.

Golden Gate Sign Company was commissioned to refurbish the existing monument sign located at the entrance of this super-energy-efficient facility. Needless to say, we jumped at the opportunity to be a part of this historic building.

First we filled the existing concrete, preparing the mold for paint and fabrication. We then added a custom design onto which we cold-rolled steel to give it a sharp, striking look. The copy was then raised and mounted with blackened bolts for a unique, unmistakable appeal.

As a premier San Francisco Sign Company, we've worked on countless projects that are as challenging as they are rewarding. We're proud to add the refurbishment of the Zero Net Energy sign to our collection of notable projects, as it will help thousands of people find one of the most technologically impressive buildings in California for many years to come.
